This flexibility also includes the design, dimensions, configurations, and applications. Schindler offers a phased modernization approach which enables you to plan the scope of modernization to suit your project schedule and financial planning. In many cases, a complete removal of the large old machines would be too costly and complicated. Often the most practical approach is to reuse an existing gearless machine, provided it is still in good working condition, but install a new drive inverter, which can offer an energy saving of up to 55%.
With Schindler’s innovative modernization solutions, new machines and equipment can be installed into the machine room without compromising the existing building layout. Large machines can be meticulously dismantled to smaller parts, passing through existing pathways and reach the machine room with ease. We minimize disruption to the building operation by scheduling on-site installation work to take place during non-office hours whenever possible.
Buildings of any age can be updated to modern standards with Schindler PORT intelligent destination technology. A Schindler PORT upgrade can be implemented as the first step of a more comprehensive modernization, enabling existing buildings to compete with newly constructed buildings.
